Common Meridian begins with a WordPress plugin because many nonprofits and associations already run their public websites on WordPress. The plugin will provide login, member dashboards, donation forms, event registration, and gated content. But Common Meridian itself is a standalone SaaS platform with its own secure API, database, authentication system, payment processing logic, background jobs, and HubSpot sync engine.

Payment processing options
1. Bring-your-own processor
Connect your existing Stripe account. Common Meridian charges no platform percentage on bring-your-own Stripe during early access.
2. Managed processing
Common Meridian provides payment processing via Stripe Connect or a similar partner. Standard processor fees pass through, plus a platform fee of 0.5%–1.0% or $0.25–$0.75 per transaction, depending on ticket or donation size.
Donor-facing and attendee-facing fee language matters. “Junk fee” and all-in pricing enforcement has become more active in ticketing and consumer checkout contexts, so transparent fee display is important.
Pricing is set for early access and may be adjusted as the platform matures. Early-access customers lock in their rate for the length of their term.
